Our History

Holy Trinity Child Care Center was founded thirty five years ago by Lillian Carter who saw a critical need for quality child care in the greater Inglewood community. Today the Center has grown to a full time child care program serving seventy families. Now, under the direction of Cassandra Roy, Executive Director, the Center is looking forward to building on the foundation Mrs. Carter laid over 3 decades ago: A foundation that builds on self esteem; encourages independent thinking, teaches the importance of good citizenship, sharing and caring, respect for the environment and strong academic program. Beginning with the toddler program, all students are taught:

  • Reading and Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • History and Social Science
  • Geography
  • Environmental Studies

We believe that young children learn best in an environment that is safe, secure and is facilitated by nurturing early childhood educators who are passionate about child development. HTCCC offers planned and emergent activities where children are encouraged to explore their world, solve problems, ask questions, reflect and work collectively with teachers and peers. The emphasis is on active, hands-on learning with a balance of child-initiated and teacher guided activities that address the needs of the whole child, spiritually, academically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially, while fostering a positive self-concept. Also, we believe in the importance of building positive relationships with the families of our students. We are aware that the early years are the most important in a child’s development, and by supporting the families we help support the child.
